Meet Dr. Omar A. Ali
DMD
Dr. Omar A. Ali is a dedicated dentist who believes that quality dental care begins with compassion, communication, and trust. His goal is to help every patient feel comfortable, confident, and informed throughout their dental experience.
Dr. Ali takes a patient-centered approach to dentistry, focusing on understanding each individual’s needs and providing personalized treatment options that support long-term oral health. He strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and confident in the care they receive.
Education & Professional Experience
Dr. Ali earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Ternopil State Medical University in Ternopil, Ukraine.
To further develop his clinical knowledge and skills, he completed a General Practice Residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, in collaboration with the Cleveland Dental Institute (CDI). During his residency, he gained valuable experience in hospital-based dentistry and multidisciplinary patient care.
Dr. Ali also completed approximately 10 months of advanced training through an Advanced Prosthodontics Fellowship at The Ohio State University, further expanding his knowledge of restorative dentistry and complex dental treatments.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Iraqi Dental Association, reflecting his commitment to continued professional development and high standards of patient care.
Dr. Ali’s Philosophy of Care
Dr. Ali believes that every patient deserves compassionate, high-quality dental care in an environment where they feel comfortable and respected. He emphasizes patient education and open communication, taking the time to explain treatment options and answer questions so patients can make informed decisions about their oral health.
His mission is not only to help patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles but also to encourage lifelong oral wellness and build lasting relationships based on trust.
Outside the Office
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Ali enjoys spending time watching soccer, especially cheering on his favorite team, FC Barcelona. As a dedicated fan, he rarely misses an opportunity to catch a match.
He also enjoys playing FIFA, bringing his love of soccer into a fun and competitive setting. These hobbies give him an opportunity to unwind, recharge, and maintain a healthy balance between his professional and personal life.
Dr. Leslie Richmond
DDS
Dr. Richmond began his studies at Brevard County Junior College in Cocoa, Florida, then went on to Michigan State for a BS in biochemistry and, finally, to the University of Michigan Dental School. He graduated in 1980. Dr. Richmond is currently a member of the American Dental Association®, the Virginia Dental Association and the Tidewater Dental Association.
His love of dentistry and his philanthropic nature are evident through his years of volunteer work at the Chesapeake Care Clinic, Park Place Dental Clinic and the various Mission of Mercy projects throughout the state of Virginia.Dr. Richmond is especially interested in helping patients achieve optimal health and longevity through counseling on nutrition, supplements, exercise and brain health.
He has a daily exercise and walking regimen and is an avid reader and gardener. You know you are in caring and extremely capable hands when he greets you every time you come to his office.

As the daughter of an Air Force pilot, I grew up in Europe. I was fortunate to attend school in Germany, Switzerland, and Greece. This experience instilled in me an enduring love for travel. These days, however, a lazy day at the beach, any beach, with my family and friends, is the best.
