Leslie Richmond

DDS

Dr. Richmond began his studies at Brevard County Junior College in Cocoa, Florida, then went on to Michigan State for a BS in biochemistry and, finally, to the University of Michigan Dental School. He graduated in 1980. Dr. Richmond is currently a member of the American Dental Association®, the Virginia Dental Association and the Tidewater Dental Association. His love of dentistry and his philanthropic nature are evident through his years of volunteer work at the Chesapeake Care Clinic, Park Place Dental Clinic and the various Mission of Mercy projects throughout the state of Virginia.Dr. Richmond is especially interested in helping patients achieve optimal health and longevity through counseling on nutrition, supplements, exercise and brain health. He has a daily exercise and walking regimen and is an avid reader and gardener. You know you are in caring and extremely capable hands when he greets you every time you come to his office.

Hi, my name is Amanda. I am one of Dr. Richmond’s chairside assistants and have been part of his team since 2003. I love everything about dentistry, including educating patients about their dental health and care. Forming relationships with our patients is one of the most rewarding aspects of my position.I look forward to meeting new patients every day.In my spare time, I enjoy family time with my husband and three children. I also enjoy taking long walks with my dog, water activities and cooking.

Whether you are interested in maintaining your dental health or enhancing your smile, we have the latest techniques available to achieve your dental goals. As the daughter of an Air Force pilot, I grew up in Europe. I was fortunate to attend school in Germany, Switzerland, and Greece. This experience instilled in me an enduring love for travel. These days, however, a lazy day at the beach, any beach, with my family and friends, is the best.

Dental Hygienist

Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Illinois, Katrina was the 3rd of 5 children raised by a single Mom. As a child, she had multiple developmental issues. With guidance from numerous mentors, she learned to believe in herself and trust in God. After graduating high school, she decided to join the military, in hopes for a better life. She joined the Army. married, had a son and later became happily divorced. She served in the Army and Navy for 27 years. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 1997, and loves teaching patients about the importance of optimal oral health. She retired from the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in 2009. As a Christian, she enjoys being able to help others, and contributes to numerous outreach programs. Her greatest joy is to be able to invest in the future for her Son Elijah, Daughter-In-Law Alisha, and Grand Daughters Sophia and Sage. She enjoys nature, music, bowling, boxing, reading and traveling. Her philosophy in regards to her personal life: "Since I desire to build, I will not allow anyone in my personal life who doesn't have bricks"
